The Super Eagles are set to return to Nigeria after being stranded for over 15 hours at Al Abraq International Airport in Libya.
Following external pressure, the Libyan government authorized refueling of their chartered jet and cleared the airspace.
Sports journalist Adepoju Tobi Samuel, known as OgaNlaMedia, confirmed the development, stating that the team refused a diversion to Benghazi and insisted on flying directly back to Nigeria.
This resolution came after the players endured long hours without basic necessities such as food, water, or internet access.
