Vinicius Tobias, former Real Madrid full-back, is facing a personal challenge after discovering that Maite, the daughter he had with his ex-girlfriend Ingrid Lima, is not biologically his.
Excited by the child’s birth, Tobias even tattooed her name, but a paternity test revealed otherwise.
In a statement, Ingrid explained that they had separated and each moved on with other relationships before Maite’s birth.
She urged people to stop attacking Tobias, confirming they had reached an understanding.
Vinicius’ ex-girlfriend released a statement on her Instagram on this matter, stating: “As everyone already knows, Vinicius and I haven’t been together for a long time, and during this period of separation, I had a relationship with someone else, and so did he. We both moved on with our lives, and in the middle of all this, Maitê was born. We decided to do a DNA test, and it turns out Maitê is not Vinicius’ daughter.
“I sincerely ask everyone to stop attacking him. It was my request that he not attend the birth or post anything about Maitê until the DNA results were in. Vinicius and I have already discussed everything and reached an amicable understanding.”
Tobias now plays for Shakhtar Donetsk after a brief Real Madrid loan.
