American superstar Taylor swift has been named among the world’s richest people in 2024 by Forbes magazine.
In the feature published on Tuesday, she made the Forbes World’s Billionaires List for the first time with $1.1 billion. The list was compiled using stock prices and exchange rates as of March 8, 2024.
Away from music, Swift, 34, also has a significant stakes in real estate, with homes in New York, Beverly Hills, Nashville and a coastal mansion in Rhode Island.
Forbes further stated that Swift, with 200 million records sold worldwide is the first musician to hit ten-figure status solely based on her songs and performances.
Swift is set to drop a new album entitled “The Tortured Poets Department” on April 19.
However, the top of the list seems unchanged as Frenchman Mr Arnault and his family tops the list at $233bn, Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla and X, formerly Twitter, is listed second, with an estimated net worth of $195bn (£155bn).
He is followed in third by Amazon owner Jeff Bezos who is valued at $194bn.
