Today, Wednesday, Russian President, Vladamir Putin revealed that Russia is technically ready for nuclear war should the U.S interfere in the Ukranian war via troops assistance which would escalate the conflict largely.
While giving his speech before the March 15-17 election, President Putin said the nuclear war scenario was not “rushing” up and he saw no need for the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
While speaking on Rossiya-1 TV, President Putin said, “From a military-technical point of view, we are, of course, ready,” this is as a response to if the country was ready for a nuclear war.
While explaining further how (In the U.S.) there are enough specialists in the field of Russian- American relations and in the field of strategic restraint, therefore, I don’t think that here everything is rushing to it (nuclear confrontation), but we are ready for this.” He made it clear as always the deployment of troops to Ukraine or any Russian territory by the U.S would mean an interference.
While Kyiv is yearning for defense against an imperial-style war of conquest designed to erase its national identity. Russia says the areas it controls in Ukraine are now Russia.
This is also while the U.S in an election year is grappling with how to support Kyiv against Russia which one controls almost 1/5 of the Ukranian territory.
