North Korea has reportedly begun sending troops to support Russia in its never-ending conflict with Ukraine.
This was the claim of South Korea’s National Intelligence Service (NIS).
South Korea is alarmed by reports of North Korean soldiers aiding Russia in Ukraine. President Yoon Suk Yeol convened an urgent security meeting, deeming it a “grave security threat.”
Intelligence reports indicate that 1,500 North Korean troops are already in Russia, with numbers expected to reach 12,000.
This coincides with North Korea’s supply of weapons to Russia, raising global concerns.
South Korea’s spy agency has corroborated these claims, while analysts suggest the troops may be deployed in non-combat roles. Tensions between North Korea, Russia, and Ukraine continue to escalate.
