Former Nairobi senatorial aspirant Margaret Wanjiru is counting losses after unknown people invaded and demolished her church.
On Wednesday, March 6, unknown people demolished part of Jesus Is Alive Ministries church located along Haile Selassie Avenue. Speaking to the press, the preacher slammed the Kenya Kwanza government, claiming the demolition was politically staged.
The politician wondered why her properties were being demolished, yet she invested a lot in the Kenya Kwanza campaigns.
“I wasn’t campaigning to be repaid like this. It is very sad that this is the government that we campaigned for. I am yet to believe that they can do this to me. I am the one who sold UDA in Nairobi,” Wanjiru said.
Wanjiru claimed the Kenya Railways Managing Director had sent the goons to bring down the church wall because it was constructed on government land.
“There is a God in Heaven. If the Kenya Kwanza government can dare touch my property, what about the helpless civilians? Where will we go if our own government is fighting us? Where are we going to run?” she posed.
There was a heavy presence of police who supervised the demolition to ensure there was no interruption from Wanjiru’s supporters.
