Earlier this year, there were rumors circulating that the popular Kenyan youtube star and her boyfriend Trevor were having problems in their relationship. The reason for this rumor is because of the various clues such as deleting each other’s pictures from their instagram page and also when Trevor attended a new year’s party without the presence of Mungai Eve.
However, the rumor has been confirmed as the two are now officially broken up, but, the interesting as well as sad thing about their separation is that it is a messy one. Things ended so badly to the extent that Mungai Eve has lost all rights to her digital assets.
The confirmation of their breakup as well as Mungai’s current condition was made known by her ex-boyfriend Trevor, who made it known through his instagram stories on February 19, that their relationship was over and that he has fired Mungai Eve which as a result of this, she no longer has access to their Youtube channels as well as their other social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. Together, the two have been able to successfully gather a huge loyal fan base with 754K YouTube subscribers, 104K Insta Fame subscribers, 874K Facebook followers.
But sadly for Mungai, she is no longer the face of the brand for this large fanbase. Also Trevor has rebranded Their Youtube Channel and has named it, ‘Kenya Online Media (KOM)’. After his announcement, Trevor went ahead to have a live Q&A session where he answered questions asked by their curious fans.
One can sense how messy the breakup is with the tone of his messages and how eager he was to tell the world that they were not together anymore. He even made an obscure instagram post where he wrote “Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.” which everybody is guessing it’s meant to be a shade at his ex-lover, Mungai Eve.
Mungai who recently just travelled out of Kenya is still silent about the whole situation and is yet to release a statement about it. The couple were together for 5 solid years before this devastating breakup. There have also been speculations on what could have caused the breakup, some are guessing its because of their different opinions when it comes to children. Trevor wants children while Mungai wants to focus on her career for the time being.
