The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the death of Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas terror leader, following an airstrike on Gaza.
The IDF initially reported investigating whether Sinwar was among those killed but later confirmed through its official X (formerly Twitter) account that Sinwar, aged 61, had been eliminated.
Sinwar was considered a key figure behind the Hamas-led October 7 massacre of Israeli civilians.
His death marks a significant blow to Hamas’ leadership amid the ongoing conflict.
