Earlier this month, we made a report about Fani Willis’ dramatic court trial which got very heated with her losing her composure while trying to deny the allegations that Donald Trump’s Attorneys laid on her. She was accused of hiring a lawyer that she was already romantically involved with to be on the Donald Trump election interference case. In a bid to defend herself she got quite dramatic and angry in the courtroom.
But in a turn of events, the key witness of the allegations, Mr Terrence Bradley, made a bactrack concerning his knowledge about the romance. According to Donald Trump’s attorneys Terrence Bradley is a key witness to the timeline of the romance between Nathan Wade and Fani Willis and they kept up raising the suggestions for him to be brought to court to come and bear witness. The court later granted them and he was brought to court on Tuesday 27th of February as a key witness.
However, things didn’t go as they had hoped as the key witness, Terrence Bradly, denied knowing when the relationship between Fani Willis and Nathan Wade started. Despite the evidence brought out by the defense attorneys, he maintained he did not know when the relationship started. He said, “I don’t know when the relationship started,” and that he “never witnessed anything.”
Even when the defense attorneys read out loud a text exchange between him and one of Donald Trump’s Lawyers, Ashleigh Merchant, in January where he stated clearly that knew when the relationship started, he still maintained his position. According to the text message he was asked “Do you think it happened before she hired him?” and he replied saying “ Absolutely”
However Bradly only responded to this by saying that he was only “speculating” at that time and that he had no personal knowledge about the relationship. The testimony lasted for about an hour but all through, Bradley maintained the position of not knowing when the romantic relationship between Fani Willis and Nathan Wade Started. The Tuesday Testimony will be the third time Terrence Bradley will appear in court on the witness stand in this month alone.
This does not look good for the Camp of Donald Trump’s attorney’s as they have been trying to disqualify Ms Fani Willis from the case by stating that her romantic relationship with Nathan Wade has created an unarguable conflict of interest. Although Fani Willis has maintain that she should not be disqualified from the case, her request being granted might not automatically be a win as she is most likely “ to face tough scrutiny moving forward, including from a new state commission that will be able to remove prosecutors and from the Georgia Senate, which has opened an investigation”. According to The New York Times.
