Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has expressed concern over Nigeria’s slow progress, attributing it to the country’s failure to implement numerous policies.
Speaking at an event in Abuja, Obasanjo stated that Nigeria has become a “burial ground” for unimplemented policies, with leaders taking actions that cause setbacks instead of progress.
“It is not enough for leaders to have policies or make statements. We are not short of policies in Nigeria,” the Former President said.
“Unfortunately, Nigeria has become a burial ground of policies that are either unimplemented or unexecuted.
He emphasized that while the nation has no shortage of policies for growth, meaningful advancement can only occur when leaders take decisive actions rather than constantly reversing their efforts.
