The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded 86.55% of the results from the Edo governorship election to its IReV portal, amounting to 3,911 out of 4,519 polling units.
These results were made accessible to the public.
With the majority of results now available, every party’s situation room is closely monitoring which candidate is leading.
Anugbum Onuoha, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Edo, previously assured that the results would be transmitted electronically, noting that only poor network coverage could delay the process.
In an interview with Arise Television, Onuoha emphasized that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) has been properly prepared and trained operators are ready.
The BVAS system will accredit voters, record their numbers, and ultimately transmit the results electronically to the IReV portal.
