The Court of Appeal in Abuja has confirmed Olumide Akpata as the Labour Party’s governorship candidate for the upcoming election in Edo State.
This follows a previous ruling in June by the Federal High Court, which dismissed a suit challenging Akpata’s nomination.
The court, led by Justice James Omotosho, supported the argument that the plaintiffs lacked the legal standing to file the suit, thereby affirming Akpata’s candidacy for the September 21 election.
