Kogi State Police Commissioner, Bertrand Onuoha, has verified the deaths of two students from Confluence State University who were abducted recently in the Osara region of the state.
The Police Chief made this known while speaking with journalists on Sunday.
When asked to confirm the killings, he responded, “Yes, two of them were discovered to have been shot this morning.”
However, the police commissioner did not give additional information when speaking with journalists on Sunday in Lokoja, the state capital.
Students of the institution were abducted two weeks ago while they were getting ready for their first-semester examination, which was set for last Monday.
Fortunately, a combined team of police and local vigilantes managed to rescue 21 of them.
