For MSc and PhD studies, the PTDF Overseas Scholarship Scheme is an annual initiative.
The goal is to equip Nigerian students with the knowledge base and skill set necessary to become active members of the country’s oil and gas sector once their education is through. For an MSc, the sponsorship period lasts twelve to twenty-four months; for a PhD, it lasts thirty-six months. Under the plan, there are no prizes for undergraduate study.
The award consists of providing travel tickets, health insurance, paying tuition and bench fees (where applicable), and providing allowances to cover living and lodging costs.
Applications for the 2024–2025 award will only be accepted from PTDF partner universities in Malaysia, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom where the Fund is certain that the program’s goals will be best met and that the scholarship’s high criteria can be upheld.
