President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, on Monday to offer his condolences to the people affected by the recent floods that ravaged the city.
The president, who had just returned to Nigeria after official trips to the UAE, China, and the UK, landed at the Air Force Base in Borno at 3:20 p.m.
Earlier, Vice President Kashim Shettima had been sent to assess the flood situation and deliver the federal government’s announcement of a ₦30 billion relief fund to aid the victims.
