Abdul Mumuni, one of the sons of the late Moshood Kasimawo Olawale Abiola, has made some revelations about his father’s family and financial arrangements.
Speaking in a viral video, Abdul discussed his late father’s Will, revealing how MKO Abiola meticulously arranged financial provisions for his over 30 wives.
Abdul explained that MKO Abiola’s first wife, Simbiat, was allotted £300,000.
He further alleged that two of his brothers, Kola and Wuraola Abiola, acting as self-appointed directors, have been lifting over 600,000 barrels of oil from their late father’s oil block, without sharing any of the proceeds with the other siblings.
He criticized the way Kola and his full siblings have been managing the Abiola estate, stating, “None of their other half-siblings have ever been consulted.”
On the subject of the Will, Abdul shared, “Like with everything my father did, he was very meticulous in his outlook and approach to everything… He was an accountant by trade, as a matter of fact, an auditor.”
He continued, “It was a very detailed piece of document… My father was deliberate, who wanted to ensure that his wealth was divided properly according to his wishes.”
He described how the Will included financial provisions for each wife, “He did that basically, what was due the first wife was about $300,000. My mother was apportioned about $150,000 and the third wife was to take about, I think, $100,000, just like that.” He added that his father also made provisions for some of his siblings.
Abdul further mentioned, “My father was adamant about certain things, one of which was that anybody who was claiming to be an Abiola would have to go through a blood test, which most of us have done.”
