Job Description:
The Arts and Graphics Assistant will play a pivotal role in providing graphic, photographic, and video support for internal Mission activities under the guidance of the Management Officer. Key responsibilities include implementing significant process enhancements in internal communications, managing multiple projects, and creating graphic design output tailored to the Mission’s needs.
Additionally, the incumbent will establish and oversee a print studio while strategically analyzing design requirements to develop products aligned with USG policy and commercial considerations.
Duties:
- Drive substantial improvements in internal communications processes.
- Manage various projects throughout the year while offering graphic, photographic, and video support.
- Establish and manage a print studio and produce graphic design output for internal communications.
- Strategically analyze design needs and create products in alignment with USG policy and commercial aspects.
Requirements:
- Obtainment and maintenance of a public trust security certificate is mandatory for all selected candidates.
- Candidates will undergo a background investigation and may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination.
- Selected candidates must be available to commence work within a reasonable timeframe (approximately 6 weeks) upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, photography, art, or information technology.
- NYSC Certificate/Exemption/Exclusion document is mandatory.
Experience: A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in photography, graphic design, art design, or audio-visual specialization, accompanied by a portfolio of work.
Salary:
$30,488 per year
