The Korean government is pleased to announce the 2024 Global Korea Scholarship program, inviting 2,200 international students to pursue graduate degrees in Korea. This prestigious scholarship offers opportunities for academic advancement and cultural exchange, fostering global talents and strengthening international cooperation.
Application Process:
Applicants have two options for applying:
Embassy Track: Apply through a Korean Embassy in their home country.
University Track: Apply directly to one of the designated universities.
For detailed information on application submission, including deadlines, required documents, and authentication procedures, applicants should contact the respective embassies and universities conducting the first round of selection.
Program Details:
- 1 year of Korean language program.
- Master’s Degree: 2 years of degree program.
- Doctoral Degree: 3 years of degree program.
- Research Program: 6 months or 1 year.
Starting from the 2024 GKS-G, applicants expected to graduate by July 31st, 2024, can apply with a certificate of expected graduation. However, they must submit their official graduation certificate (or diploma) and final academic transcript to the GKS Center, NIIED, by July 31st, 2024. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of acceptance.
Selection Criteria:
Interviews will be conducted via Zoom with a limited number of applicants who meet the application deadline and pass the documentation review. Applicants who fail to meet the qualifications outlined in the application guidelines will be automatically disqualified.
