Popular Nigerian music video director and cinematographer, ThankGod Omori, widely known as TG Omori, has disclosed that he recently underwent a kidney transplant.
In a heartfelt post on his verified X account (formerly Twitter), Omori revealed that his survival is due to his only brother, who donated one of his kidneys to save his life.
Omori shared, “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again,” expressing deep gratitude for the life-saving gesture. He also posted a photo of himself receiving treatment in the hospital, with the caption, “Keep my spirit alive.”
TG Omori, also referred to as Boy Director, has earned acclaim for his work with top Nigerian artists such as Olamide, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tekno, Kizz Daniel, Fireboy DML, Falz, Naira Marley, Asake, and many others.
His unique vision and contributions have made him one of the most sought-after directors in the African music scene.
However, latest news coming from his Twitter handle revealed the transplant failed.
“One year after my kidney crashed I just had a failed transplant at st Nicolas Lagos. Pray for me,” he tweeted.
