Laide Bakare, a well-known actress, has discussed her relationship status with Funke Akindele, her colleague.
Laide claimed in an interview with Legit that she was close to the box office queen during their formative years and that times have changed.
She asserts that she has no personal grudges against Funke Akindele and that the box office vixen is best suited to clarify why she declined to include her in her films.
After studying Akindele, Laide Bakare claimed to have observed that the mother of two is a determined individual who frequently pursues her goals.
She uttered, “I have no idea why.” We were close from the beginning, having started together. Perhaps she works with folks with whom she feels at ease around. She is in the best position to answer that, so I’m not sure. She hasn’t previously appeared in any of my films, either. She was invited more than thrice. There was a time when I invited her to be my MC.
“I invited her to my first movie once again when we were in UNILAG. She packed two separate costume boxes, and I think she received a call just before we boarded the bus. After our conversation, she decided it would be better if she didn’t follow us. That seemed strange to me. I began to perceive her as a self-aware individual. She has the ability to develop herself, and it suits her.
