Actress Chioma Okoli, who starred in the film Skinny Girl in Transit has spoken of a man who asked to sleep with her in exchange for a job.
In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the actress disclosed that, like numerous other women, she had encountered sexual harassment from a man who approached her inappropriately after promising her a job.
“Yes, I have had that experience. The actress said, “I tried to work with someone some time ago, and he invited me to his office.”
She went on: “He made me wait from the afternoon till the evening before tending to me when I arrived. It seemed strange, but I had to be polite because I was trying to work. As night fell, he was discussing spending time in the lounge. I said, “All right, great, let’s go talk in the lounge,” since I was looking for work.
When they finally arrived at the club, she said the man started making unwanted moves toward her after keeping her waiting for hours. Okoli also remembered that the man had openly expressed his desire to have a sexual relationship with her in exchange for the job that she was seeking.
“He began rubbing my hand when we entered the lounge. He promised to give me the job and we would demolish it. It was not an acting role so much as a job. I think he’s a really weird guy since he was called out for fraud a while back, so yeah, I’ve had that experience,” she explained.
