The national electricity grid collapsed again on 14th October 2024, around 6:18 pm, affecting power supply across Nigeria.
Power generation dropped from 3.87GW at 5 pm to 0.00GW by 7 pm.
The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) and Abuja Disco confirmed the outage, affecting customers in multiple states.
Both companies are awaiting updates from the National Control Centre in Osogbo.
Restoration efforts are ongoing, and customers are being asked to remain patient until power is fully restored.
This marks the sixth occurrence of the national grid collapsing in 2024, with the last happening on Monday, August 5 2024.
