The Federal Government has terminated the contract for the 98 km Oyo-Ogbomoso road awarded to RCC Construction Company.
The Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, announced this decision on Thursday, February 20, 2025, during the Oyo Federal Roads Stakeholders Engagement in Ibadan.
The event focused on the challenges and sustainable solutions for federal roads in Oyo State.
Umahi explained that the project had been delayed for too long and assured the public that it would soon be re-awarded to another contractor.
Stakeholders at the meeting expressed their displeasure over the state of the road, noting that its incomplete state has negatively impacted economic activities in the area and across Oyo State.
