The Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport (EAICA) in Ado-Ekiti has received approval from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to commence non-scheduled flight operations starting December 15, 2024.
This approval, valid for six months until June 15, 2025, allows private jets and chartered flights to operate under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji described the approval as a significant milestone, emphasizing that it justifies the state’s investment in the airport project, which aims to boost Ekiti State’s socio-economic development by making the state more accessible.
