Medical students at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo State, are currently protesting at the office of the Chief Medical Director due to the ongoing lack of power and water.
The students have been facing these challenges for over 100 days, which has significantly affected their studies and health.
The protest follows repeated attempts to restore electricity, but the hospital remains disconnected from the national grid because of an outstanding debt.
The students have displayed placards with various inscriptions, such as “Save UCH; Give Us Light; This Is Not How We Want To Live,” expressing their frustration and demanding immediate action.
