Nigerian forward Victor Boniface reflected on his late father, Mr. Okoh Boniface, sharing that he became an orphan after losing both parents.
Raised by his grandparents in Akure, Ondo State, he noted his family’s roots, with his father from Jos and his mother from Edo State.
“My dad na from Jos and mum from Edo state, I grew up with my mum family, once before I went to Europe,” he said.
Boniface has emerged as a key player for Bayer Leverkusen, helping them secure the Bundesliga title and finishing his first season as the team’s top scorer.
He debuted for the Super Eagles in September 2023, contributing with an assist but has yet to score in nine appearances.
