Sony has officially unveiled the PlayStation 5 Pro.
However, the price has left many gamers puzzled. Priced at $699.99 in the US, £699.99 in the UK, €799.99 in Europe, and ¥119,980 in Japan, the cost has sparked reactions across the gaming community.
The console package includes a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller, and a copy of Astro’s Playroom.

According to PlayStation’s blog, the PS5 Pro is designed for players and creators seeking better graphics and smoother frame rates at 60FPS.
It boasts several enhancements, including a GPU with 67% more Compute Units and 28% faster memory than the original PS5, as well as advanced ray tracing capabilities. New AI-driven upscaling, called PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, is also introduced to enhance image clarity.

Many popular games will receive free updates to take advantage of the PS5 Pro’s features, labeled with “PS5 Pro Enhanced.” Titles such as Alan Wake 2, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are among those benefiting from these improvements.
The PS5 Pro is set to launch on 7 November, with pre-orders starting on 26 September.
