Yamal named 2024 Golden Boy Award Winner

Barcelona winger and EURO 2024 champion Lamine Yamal has been officially announced as the winner of the 2024 Golden Boy award.

The prestigious award, given annually by Turin-based outlet Tuttosport, celebrates the best players in Europe aged 21 and under.

Yamal, who turned 17 during the EURO 2024 tournament, topped a 25-player shortlist that included notable talents like Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz and Samuel Mbangula, and Real Madrid’s Endrick and Arda Güler.

Yamal’s exceptional performances for both club and country throughout the year, including his role in Spain’s EURO 2024 victory, have solidified his status as one of the most promising young footballers in the world.
