Cristiano Ronaldo has set a new record for goals scored in a Saudi Pro League season.
The Portuguese megastar netted a double for Al-Nassr in a 4-2 victory over Al-Ittihad to take his tally to 35 and move ahead of Abderrazak Hamdallah’s mark of 34 in 2018-19.
He also claimed the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League Golden Boot.
Portugal forward Ronaldo has netted 64 goals in 69 matches for Al-Nassr across all competitions since joining on a free transfer in January 2023 after departing Manchester United.
This victory ensured Al-Nassr secured second place in the standings for the second straight season, 14 points behind champions Al-Hilal but 17 points ahead of third-placed Al-Ahli.
Ronaldo has now scored 893 career goals in his 22-year career for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and the Portuguese National Team.
The goals, when detailed, shows CR7 has bagged 765 for the clubs he has starred and a tally of 128 -the highest in the history of International Football- for the Portuguese National Team.
