The prestigious recognition was announced at the award ceremony held in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 16, 2024. This achievement highlights the team’s outstanding performances and remarkable contributions over the past year.
The Super Falcons edged out strong contenders from Morocco and South Africa to win the award, cementing their dominance and excellence in African women’s football.
This marks a back-to-back title for the nine-time African champions, who finished 2024 as the continent’s best women’s team on the FIFA Ranking.
