Super Eagles land in Nigeria after Libya frustration

The Super Eagles have safely arrived at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, following their ordeal in Libya, where they were stranded for over 13 hours ahead of the 2025 AFCON qualifier.

Their flight had been unexpectedly diverted to a remote Libyan airport, and players had to endure hours without basic necessities like food or water.

The situation drew widespread criticism, but the team is now back in Nigeria.

Earlier, it was reported that yhe Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has withdrawn the Super Eagles from their 2025 AFCON qualifier against Libya due to a 12-hour ordeal at Al Abraq Airport in Libya.
