Following the expiration of the contract of Jose Peseiro at the end of February, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has declared the position of the Super Eagles head coach vacant.
The Nigerian Football governing body is out shopping for a replacement ahead of the International break after reports of the appointment of former gaffer, Austin Eguavoen as interim manager was denied by the President, Ibrahim Gusau.
In an advertisement published on its official website calling for applications, the NFF stated the prospective Super Eagles coach “must have proven experience at the elite level of football.”
It added that applications should be submitted on or before 6pm Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
While no game is on the horizon for the Eagles ahead of the March 18 international free window, the NFF is now tasked with appointing a new and proven coach for the National team before their next World Cup qualifiers in June.
In the same vein, the position of the National U-17 Football Team, the Golden Eaglets’ Head Coach was declared vacant and open for interested and proven managers.
