Cristiano Ronaldo has picked up the Roshn Saudi League 2023-24 Top Scorer award after another amazing season with Al Nassr.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner ended the season with 35 goals, breaking the league’s single-season scoring record. The previous record of 34 goals was set by Abderrazak Hamdallah in the 2018-19 season.
In his first full season in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo also made 11 assists, achieving a new all-time RSL record with 46 goal contributions in 31 games. The Portuguese star had the highest goals-per-game ratio among players with more than one goal, and his four hat-tricks this season are the most in the league’s history.
Thanks to his 2023-24 tally, the Portugal and Al Nassr captain became the first player ever to win the top-scorer award in four different domestic leagues. He previously won this award in the English Premier League in the 2007-08 season with Manchester United, topped the scoring charts three times in La Liga with Real Madrid, and led the 2020-21 Serie A scoring with Juventus.
The all-time leading scorer in men’s international football and its most-capped player, the 39-year-old is preparing to represent his country at Euro 2024, marking his 10th major international tournament.
