Marcus Rashford has completed his loan move to Aston Villa from Manchester United.
The deal includes an option for Villa to sign him permanently for a pre-agreed fee of £40 million.
Rashford underwent his medical on Sunday and signed his contract with Villa, which will last until the end of the season. Villa will cover 70% of his wages, and the loan package includes bonuses for progressing in Europe and qualifying for the Champions League.
The player expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making the deal happen at a crucial time in his career.
“I would like to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this loan deal happen,” he said.
“I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me but Aston Villa was an easy decision – I really admire the way that Aston Villa have been playing this season, and the managers’ ambitions.”
“I just want to play football and am excited to get started. I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”
Rashford has not played for United since mid-December after falling out with head coach Ruben Amorim.
This move is seen as an opportunity for him to reignite his career under Villa’s manager Unai Emery.
