The technical crew of Kano Pillars, led by Abdul Makaiba, has been issued a three-match ultimatum by the state government to reverse the team’s fortunes. Sai Masu Gida has experienced a downturn in form during the latter part of the current season.
In their most recent game, the four-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions suffered a 2-1 defeat to Bendel Insurance.
Before their recent loss, Kano Pillars faced back-to-back defeats, including a 2-1 home loss to Shooting Stars and a significant 5-0 defeat against reigning champions Enyimba.
The ultimatum begins with this weekend’s home fixture against Gombe United. Following that, Pillars will play an away match against former champions Akwa United, followed by a home encounter against Doma United.
Presently, Pillars hold the seventh position in the NPFL table with 41 points from 30 matches.
