NPFL: Enugu Rangers vs Enyimba called off after 101st minute Penalty Call

The NPFL match day 35 game between Enugu Rangers and Enyimba International of Aba has been abandoned after a late penalty call in favour of the home team, Enugu Rangers.

Rangers headed into the match tagged ‘Oriental Derby’ topping the league standings (60 points) and Enyimba trailing them by two points.

The match which attracted supporters in their thousands was going well till the referee pointed to the spot late in the game, awarding Rangers a penalty. The match was tied 0-0 at the moment.

The League committee also confirmed the abandonment on there X handle.

“Rangers 0-0 Enyimba #RANENY #NPFL24 #TheFinalStretch,” NPFL wrote.

“Match interrupted after penalty awarded to Rangers in added time.”
