Nigerian striker Victor Boniface experienced an eventful week, culminating in a car crash just hours after scoring Bayer Leverkusen’s winning goal against Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.
Boniface, who earlier missed a penalty but later secured Leverkusen’s 2-1 victory, reported surviving the serious accident on his Instagram.
The striker, recently under pressure for his performances with the Super Eagles, sustained minor hand injuries and is recovering well.
Despite the accident, he remains in good spirits and hopes to return to action soon.
