Chelsea winger Jadon Sancho revealed that he has always been a fan of the Blues, crediting his childhood admiration to Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League match against Everton, Sancho shared his excitement about being back at the club where he spent his early years supporting.
Sancho joined Chelsea on loan from Manchester United after struggling to secure regular playing time at Old Trafford.
He expressed his feelings about returning to Chelsea, saying, “It’s still a bit weird to me… but it’s always good to be home. My family is close.”
He also mentioned his admiration for Lampard and Drogba, and how speaking with Enzo Maresca, who was determined to work with him, influenced his decision to join the club.
Lampard and Drogba were instrumental in Chelsea’s success during their tenure, winning several trophies and leaving a lasting legacy at Stamford Bridge.
