Kylian Mbappé’s representatives announced on Wednesday that they had rejected a mediation proposal from the French football league (LFP) regarding his dispute with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) over unpaid wages and bonuses.
Mbappé claims that PSG owes him €55 million, which includes a signing bonus, salary from the last three months, and an “ethical bonus.”
The club, however, alleges that the player had agreed to forgo this sum in August 2023. After Mbappé, who transferred to Real Madrid this summer, brought the case to the LFP’s legal committee, the league suggested mediation, which Mbappé’s team declined, asserting that the unpaid amount is clearly outlined on his payslips.
PSG expressed support for the mediation and remains committed to resolving the matter. The LFP is expected to make a decision on the case by Friday.
