Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappé is out with a thigh injury, the club has confirmed.
“Following the tests carried out today on our player Kylian Mbappe by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the femoral biceps of his left leg. Pending evolution,” the statement from the club read.
Initially reported as a minor issue due to overload, Kylian Mbappé’s situation has taken a turn, with the French superstar now confirmed to be sidelined for an extended period due to injury.
According to journalist Mario Cortegana, club sources indicate that Mbappé will be out for around three weeks.
This timeline means he will miss crucial fixtures, including the derby against Atletico Madrid this weekend, the UEFA Champions League match against Lille, and the La Liga clash with Villarreal.
If his recovery goes as planned, Mbappé is expected to return after the international break, in time for the October 19 match against Celta Vigo.
