Man Utd Mazraoui diagnosed with Heart Condition

Noussair Mazraoui

Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui has undergone a heart procedure after experiencing palpitations during the team’s recent goalless draw against Aston Villa.

Mazraoui, who joined United from Bayern Munich in a £17 million transfer, felt unwell at halftime and was subsequently substituted. He also withdrew from international duty with Morocco.

According to club sources, the procedure was minor and corrective, addressing a relatively common condition. The surgery was successful, and Mazraoui is expected to recover fully, returning to action in several weeks. Initial reports speculating that he might be out for two months due to an irregular heartbeat have been downplayed.

The 26-year-old right-back previously missed three months of action last year after being diagnosed with inflammation of the heart tissue following a Covid-19 infection. Since signing for United, Mazraoui has been a key player under Erik ten Hag, featuring in all 10 games this season.

Mazraoui’s teammate, Christian Eriksen, also dealt with heart-related issues, having an implantable cardioverter defibrillator fitted after suffering a cardiac arrest during Euro 2021 while playing for Denmark.
