Manchester United has confirmed that Harry Maguire has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the club until June 2026.
The 31-year-old defender’s previous deal was set to expire this summer, but the club has decided to trigger the one-year extension clause.
Head coach Ruben Amorim expressed his satisfaction with the decision, stating that Maguire’s leadership qualities are crucial for the team. Despite losing the captaincy last year, Maguire has found a new lease of life under Amorim, who prefers to play with three central defenders.
Maguire has made 222 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 12 goals and lifting two major trophies: the 2023 Carabao Cup and the 2024 Emirates FA Cup.
