Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr has stated that he would prefer winning the Champions League trophy over receiving the Ballon d’Or award.
The Brazilian has become a leading candidate for the individual honor.
Vinicius has scored 17 goals in his last 23 games, including two against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final.
When questioned if he would opt for a 1-0 victory against Dortmund, similar to two years ago against Liverpool, with him scoring the winning goal, Vinicius answered, “definitely.”
“With a goal from anyone,” he added.
“I’ve never thought about (winning the Ballon d’Or).
“The best thing to happen this season is winning the Champions League.”
