Letsile Tebogo from Botswana has won the Mens 200m sprint at the ongoing Olympics in Paris.

He won in 19.46 seconds.

He also made history as the first African to win the 200m sprint at the Olympics, securing Botswana’s first-ever Olympic gold medal.

He ended Noah Lyles’ historic pursuit of an Olympic sprint double.

Noah, four days ago insisted he’d leave his rivals “depressed” when he came off the turn, lost his signature race and settled for bronze in 19.70 seconds.

Lyles had hoped to become the first American man to complete the Olympic sprint double since Carl Lewis 40 years ago.

American Kenny Bednarek claimed silver in 19.62 seconds.
