Cameroon football legend Samuel Eto’o recently had an emotional reunion with a former teammate who is now working as a security guard.
The touching encounter took place in Douala, Cameroon, where Eto’o was attending an Ecobank Group seminar.
In the video that has gone viral on social media, Eto’o is seen leaving the venue when someone offscreen calls out his name. Initially, he glances back briefly before continuing on, but then he stops, turns around, and realizes it’s an old friend.
The former teammate, dressed in a security uniform, walks into the frame, and Eto’o’s face lights up in recognition.
The two former teammates warmly shook hands, embraced briefly, and exchanged pleasantries in Bassa’a, a Cameroonian dialect. Eto’o was visibly moved by the encounter and instructed his assistant to arrange a formal meeting with his old friend to reconnect further.
