UEFA Champions League finalists, Borussia Dortmund of Germany are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Guinean hotshot Serhou Guirassy, 28, from Stuttgart.
The striker who netted 30 goals in all competitions in the 2023/24 season has a release clause of €17.5/18m.
Guirassy joined VfB Stuttgart on loan from French clubside Rennes in the 2022–2023 season.
However, Stuttgart announced that they had exercised their option to make the relocation permanent on the 31st of May 2023.
In the 2023–24 season, Guirassy scored ten goals in the first five games, including his first Bundesliga hat-trick against Mainz, matching a previous record set by Robert Lewandowski in the 2020–21 season.
He also broke the Bundesliga record for most goals by a player in the first seven games of a season by scoring a hat-trick within 15 minutes in a 3–1 victory over Wolfsburg. This set the new record at 13 goals, surpassing Robert Lewandowski’s record of 11 goals in both the 2019–20 and 2020–21 seasons.
On April 13, 2024, he netted his 25th Bundesliga goal in a 3–0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt, breaking the record for most goals by a Stuttgart player in a single season, previously set by Mario Gómez in the 2008–09 season.
He was to end the Bundesliga season with 28 goals to finish behind Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane in the race for the Golden Boot.
