A French court has ordered Paris Saint-Germain to pay former ace Kylian Mbappé €55 million (£46m/$60m) in unpaid wages, despite the club’s appeal.
PSG had consistently insisted they did not owe their ex-striker anything, and that they had a verbal understanding with Mbappe to forgo bonus payments and return to the lineup.
Following the ruling, the LFP told the Associated Press: “The club (PSG) must pay him the parts of his salary he is claiming.
“This decision is not subject to (further) appeal, but can be raised before the executive committee of the FFF (French soccer Federation).”
Kylian Mbappe, after rejecting a previous mediation offer in his dispute with PSG, is now positioned to receive his owed bonus.
