Sunshine Stars FC of Akure has confirmed the appointment of Abubakar Bala as their new head coach.
Bala will take over following the resignation of Kennedy Boboye last month, who cited interference from the club’s management as the reason for his departure.
Assistant coach Bobola Akinfolarin has been temporarily in charge since Boboye’s exit.
Bala brings experience from managing the Nigerian National League club, Doma United, and has also had stints with Niger Tornadoes, Kwara United, and Lobi Stars.
