Carlos Alcaraz has won the Rolland Garros title.
He recorded a 6-3 2-6 5-7 6-1 5-2 victory over Alexander Zverev.
He made history in the process by becoming the youngest man to earn a major trophy on all three surfaces — clay, hard and grass.
He is the seventh man to accomplish the feat, joining Rafael Nadal, Mats Wilander, Jimmy Connors, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andre Agassi.
The victory sees the 21-year-old rise back to No.2 in the world.
Alcaraz is also the eighth Spaniard to triumph at the Paris major and just the fifth active male player to lift 3+ Grand Slam titles (Djokovic 24, Nadal 22, Murray & Wawrinka 3).
Alcaraz had already become the youngest man to reach a major final on all three surfaces. He has made three championship matches at Grand Slam tournaments — the 2022 US Open, 2023 Wimbledon and 2024 Roland Garros — and has won them all.
He also became the second-youngest Roland Garros champion since 2000, only trailing Nadal, who has lifted the Coupe des Mousquetaires 14 times.
