The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been placed in Pot 1 for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) draw.
The draw ceremony will take place at the Mohamed V National Theatre in Rabat, Morocco. Nigeria earned their spot among the top-ranked teams due to their performance in the last AFCON and their position in the FIFA rankings.
They finished second at AFCON 2023 and are currently sixth in the CAF ranking. Also in Pot 1 are Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, and defending champions Cote d’Ivoire.
The AFCON 2025 finals will be hosted by Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
